At Thomsons' Physio, we help you stay strong, steady, and living life on your terms.
OurThomsons'Physiole: prevent falls, improve balance, and enhance quality of life through expert rehabilitation and genuine care. Everyone deserves to move with confidence, so we create personalised physiotherapy plans that keep you active, safe, and independent.
Strength-First Approach:
Our Approach & Why People Fall
Strength is your greatest defence against falls, pain, and loss of mobility. As we age, illness, inactivity, and everyday wear can quietly weaken muscles and balance, increasing the risk of falls. But here’s the good news: you can rebuild it.
Think of strength like a savings account—if you stop making deposits, withdrawals (from injury, illness, or time) take a toll. But just like savings, you can top it up again. Our tailored exercise programmes build muscle, improve endurance, and restore confidence, helping you move freely, stay steady, and remain independent for longer.
💪 It’s never too late to feel stronger and more confident. Let’s get started.
We specialise in physiotherapy for chronic conditions that affect mobility, strength, and balance, including:
🦴 Musculoskeletal Conditions – Osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, chronic back pain,
🧠 Neurological Conditions – Stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), peripheral neuropathy, and long-term effects of brain or spinal cord injuries.
❤️ Cardiovascular & Respiratory Conditions – Heart disease, post-cardiac rehabilitation, COPD, and chronic breathlessness impacting mobility.
🦵 Rheumatological Conditions – Rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other inflammatory joint diseases affecting strength and movement.
👣 Metabolic & Endocrine Conditions – Diabetes-related neuropathy, chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), and long-term effects of obesity on mobility.

I’m William, a local physiotherapist from Altrincham, dedicated to helping people stay strong, steady, and independent. Having grown up here, I understand the challenges many in our community face when recovering from injury, managing long-term conditions, or simply wanting to feel more confident on their feet. That’s why I bring expert physiotherapy to you, working side by side in the comfort of your own home.
After studying Physiotherapy at the University of Leicester, I built my career in Intermediate Care and Falls Prevention at Salford Royal, specialising in helping people regain mobility, prevent falls, and maintain their independence. I’ve worked with hundreds of people locally, and I’ve seen first-hand how the right physiotherapy can restore confidence, strength, and freedom.
For many, a fall isn’t just physical—it knocks their confidence. I know how frustrating it can be to feel unsteady or worry about your next step. That’s why I focus on real-world strength and movement, helping you get up with ease, walk without fear, and feel in control again. You bring the motivation, and I’ll bring the answers.
